Math

I've gotten back to having them do some math and writing just about every day. Math is the one thing I have discovered thay they need to practice reguarly or they lose it.

Soren and I did some more $$ work w/ quarters but need to go back and talk about how to count by 10s when the # doesn't end in zero. We did a lot of addition and subtraction drills using pictures and associative property- She still doesn't always grasp right away that you can switch the numbers and still get the same answer, but by drilling, she's realizing it sooner each time.

Soren is also almost 3/4 done with her printing power workbook.

Emma worked on a lot of subtraction, going up to thousands. Also, adding and subtracting by 10s and 100s. We also subracted strings of numbers and learned how to do it when you go into negative integers. She is doing really well with her cursive workbook but is resistant to writing stories all in cursive still. she's got about 1/2 or more of the alphabet down though :).
