LCG 12/21
Hello all,
I loved our solstice celebration today-- what a beautiful way to mark the event. My appreciation of this festival has grown over the years, and today I was happily overwhelmed by the beauty of it all.
For class today, we started with our opening verse and songs, then we practiced our three songs for the festival-- "Down with Darkness," "People Look East," and "Deep Peace." It is such a joy to sing with the children.
Then we practiced some recorder songs. We moved into form drawing, another mirror image, of a star, to mark the solstice. Then we finished up our main lesson drawings and writing from last week, and worked a bit on knitting.
Snack time arrived, and Julie Cosgrove came in to help celebrate Emmyrose's birthday. We saw some cute baby pictures of Emmyrose, and sang to her and offered our birthday wishes.
Then it was time to clean up and head to the festival.
I send you all warm holiday greetings, and look forward to seeing you in the new year.
Next class is Jan. 11 (I think we will paint, Barb GH). Snack/clean-up family is the Carlsons.
Deep peace to all of you,
Lynn
