lcg emma

Hi all,

A quick note-- I'm tired out (but on a high!) from the great talent show.

Of course, the Evergreens were well represented, with amazing talent! We saw gymnastics from those amazingly flexible girls-- Emmabean and Erin. Emma M played her beautiful harp beautifully and recited an original poem! And Lila did amazing things wth hula hoops.

We had a productive day in class, with another solid play rehearsal. We also painted Noah's ark and began making the animal puppets that the young children will use. Reminder that all younger siblings are welcome to join us as animals for the Friday night performance. The Willow class will be doing the animals for the Tuesday performance.

We discussed props-- each child is going to try to bring in the one or two items that he or she needs. Please check with your child-- I forgot my list at the church. You can also call or e-mail me-- I think I remember most of them.

Thanks to Lauren for the raw material for the ark, and to Melissa, for her guidance (as always!)

We also worked a bit on being "the Evergreens"-- feeling like a class, and not groups of 2 or 3. We played an interesting game where we had to go to the place that was neutral, strongly agree or strongly disagree about a wide variety of statements.

PLAY REHEARSAL SATURDAY AT MY HOUSE!!
We will meet at my house Sat. from 1-3 for rehearsal and tea party. I'm at 107 Wheelock Road, Penfield, 14526-- call or e-mail if you need directions.

And-- please have the children keep listening to the play. They are doing a terrific job. Next week I told them we will not be using scripts. We will help anyone who forgets a line, but we don't want to have the scripts around, as that can promote using them as a crutch.

Thanks so much!
Lynn
