Soren LCG

Dear Parents and Friends,

We had a busy day! We started it by making applesauce, with help from a wonderful coring, paring invention. As the apples cooked in the crock-pot, we came together for circle: verse, a game,"Great Big Chariot" and songs and riddles. We practiced one of the songs we'd sung," Warm Hands" on the recorder. Then we settled comfortably and listened while Sue told the fable titled " The Frog Prince," our warm hands shaping our beeswax. After plenty of lively bean-bag counting and tossing exercises, we all contributed words for an Autumn "diamante" poem , which we wrote in the shape of a diamond.

At last, it was time to eat the apples we had cut and cooked as well as the snacks from home, which included lots more apples! We welcomed Melissa for a cozy , happy and productive knitting time. We wove colorful yarn "God's eyes" around horse-chestnuts at the end of class, just before a merry and hearty good-bye!

With warm thoughts to you all,

Anne and Sue
