math and such

we studied some math today. soren worked in a first grade workbook and studied symmetry. She made 2 butterflies. She also studied congruence, counting, counting in series and reviewed the associative property. We also did some addition drills.

Soren and I also talked about singular vs. plural and the fact that y changes to ie when plural.

Emma did addition of columns with up to 4 numbers, some algebra, comparisons, transferring numbers using a key, and substitutions.

Then we played a set game called Yummy that uses numbers and strategy.

They also went to LCG today, but no updates from teachers yet.
