Science and glass

Emma did 6 hours of Hands on Science this week. They studied static electricity yesterday and today they studied kinetic energy and some other kind of energy. I forget and will have to ask her!

Soren wanted to go to a glassblowing demonstration today and learned that the hardest part of it is making everything symmetrical, which she understood from art class. We watched him make an ornament from tube of glass - she got to pick which side it would hang from. She explained a lot of it to Emma later, so seemed to really understand what he was talking about in terms of the process. neat!
