Emma is taking a class on orienteering today!

Evergreens yesterday:
Hello parents,

A short summary of our day--

We started with our opening verse and some singing. I introduced two new Hebrew folk songs, to go with our Old Testament stories. If anyone has any Hebrew music or dances to share, we would love that.

Then we reviewed last week's story of Cain and Abel and drew pictures and wrote summaries in main lesson books.

We had a short time to play a grammar game-- it was fun. We had Queen Noun, Princess Adjective, King Verb and Prince Adverb-- together we made up silly sentences. The first noun was "Lynn Malooly"!

Then Melissa came in, the children settled in to crochet and I read the play again. They all gave me their choices for parts. A number of them would like to be God, Noah and Na'amah (Noah's wife). Obviously, not everyone will get his or her first choice. I still need to hear from Molly, then I'll call all the children and tell them their parts.

They also received CD's of the play today. They should listen to the play every day, if possible. This is how they will learn their lines. We will begin rehearsing next Tuesday. We will try for minimal props and costumes. LCG has a store of some costumes-- I'll let you know what our needs are in the next two weeks.

Is anyone available to help out with practices the next few weeks? I'd like to split the class, if possible, and work on two scenes at a time. Let me know if you can help. We would start at 1:00.

After snack we did a little marching, a little "tree pose" and then settled in for the story of Noah's Ark. We had a little time at the end to act out the second scene.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

The class helped once again clean up in the Willow Room-- it's a big help.

Have a good week!
Lynn

Soren has dance today and Rising Stars, so is not going to do Camp this week. Maybe next week!

We figured out all 50 states last night and are going to make them spelling words and alphabetize them. Fun! Then we'll find out facts about each one, especially the capital.
