Hmm..what we're up to
Emma is reading, reading, reading. She's currently reading a Beverly Cleary book, Ralph S. Mouse. Before that, she started a series about fairies. She's *really* into fairies right now. Last night she "invented" a tooth flosser by using christmas ornament hooks to hook an an old, almost empty (to her, at least!) disposable tooth floss container to the doorknob, so she could hold the floss out and floss her teeth. Weird ;).
Emma did 2 pages of cursive yesterday. It's looking pretty good too.
Soren's reading a book about the history of chinese writing and is going to write a story in chinese today. I hope to get to the library this morning, and then they have LCG this afternoon.
Over the weekend, Emma had her second meet, Pinky Stone, in Syracuse. She did great. Her team came in first! That was a first first place for her Level 4 team and they beat Orchard Park, and apparently nobody ever beats OP! She didn't personally place, but got a 32.45 all around score, which was a huge personal improvement. Go Emma!
8.15 on bars
7.7 on beam
8.2 on vault
8.4 on floor
Soon she'll get in the 9.0 club, which will thrill her. She has another meet this weekend. The DuRolf Invitational in Dunkirk, NY. It should be a lot of fun. It's a local, smaller meet and they'll probably get higher scores.
I think that's it for now!
